In terms of supplements. Do you need to supplement throughout pregnancy? My answer is yes. And taking better quality ones is worth it as a health insurance. If you take commercial brands, you are pretty much wasting your £ on nutrients the body cannot absorb properly. Many contain bulking agents, fillers, gelatine, etc. And a good multivitamin and mineral contains all of the nutrients above in decent amounts. No point taking a brand where you get 1mg of B1, B2 for example. Will make no difference! You want to be taking at least 20mg of B vitamins.
The brands I use for supplements are: Cytoplan and TerrraNova. The brand Better You for the vitamin D sprays, vitamin B12 spray and magnesium oil.
