Creating this post got me thinking deep about the time we all have and the difference between goals and values.
Many of you are busy setting goals & New Years resolutions for the year ahead. However knowing yourself & your values adds meaning and direction to your life.
The difference between goals & values is vast. Value are the foundation upon which we run our lives & exist in the present moment. Goals are targets & exist in the future, and should be set according to your values. I believe living aligned with our values makes us more fulfilled in all areas of our lives. When I set aside time to do things I enjoy & value my heart sings, I feel energised and am overall happier. You may be working hard to get the life you want. Working more hours to enjoy a better future or pay current debts. This is understandable however do slice out some time to smell the roses.
If this 2020 what do you want more of?
- To prepare and enjoy healthy tasty food
- More laughter
- More time with yourself or loved ones
- More productivity
- Better health & fitness- body shape you desire
- Quality sleep
- More time in nature, to travel & explore.
It is okay to watch TV, movies, socialise, and even do nothing! I’m not here to judge. Do more of what you love and less of what you hate from here onwards. I always say to my clients and friends who come to me for support and advice if you are not happy with your life change it. Change your environment & mindset. There is not need to change who you are, find out who you are so you can separate yourself from other peoples drama and live each day in fulfilment.
